I just finished watching Mad Hot Ballroom for the billionth time. I absolutely love that movie! It's just amazing to watch these kids, some of whom are poor inner city kids like mine, learn to dance and love it. The dance teachers did more than just teach the kids to dance, they inspired the kids, they gave them confidence, and they taught them that they could achieve and succeed. I love that! I'm so not a dancer, but now I even want to learn how to dance...go figure. Teachers have such amazing power to make a postive difference in the lives of kids. I see it everyday...even on the busiest, craziest days. It's amazing what a smile can do for a kid's confidence or just taking ten seconds to listen to a kid tell you about what happened to their pet hamster the night before. So who wants to dance with me?

It's so nice to read your posts again. I'd thought you'd forgotten to post. I've learned that even on your worst days, kids can make the teacher smile too! It's so great to be able to walk into the classroom and leave your problems outside. The kids are so excited to see you and hopefully they leave their problems outside too. The bell rings and the magic begins! What a day! PS I'd always dance with you. You're probably a very good dancer. I know you're a good writer!
I would love to dance with you. Dancing makes me forget all my worries. I dance in my car all the time and people just think I'm crazy. I don't care dancing makes me happy!!!!!! I'll tell you a secret, when my kids come in from recess, I'll forget to turn off the radio and dance in front of them. They have a blast. They get to see the silly side of their teacher. I tell them to watch the door just in case you decide to stop by and I'm dancing. I wouldn't want to get caught by the boss.
Dear Anonymous...thanks for making magic!
Dear Silly Teacher...keep being silly and keep dancing! :)
Dear Ed... I will keep dancing, maybe you'll get lucky and catch me one day!!!
