The last couple of weeks have been very interesting. There's been a little bit of drama with a particular grade level. Some not so nice things said about me. Some not so nice accusations.
That goes with the job I suppose. I received an anonymous letter from a teacher who is unhappy with how the school is being led. I realize I can't please everyone all the time. I find it really sad that the author of the letter didn't come and talk to me. Sometimes I get so side tracked by all the negative stuff (the complaints, the problems) that I forget about all the great stuff happening. And I know there is so much great stuff happening. All I can do is keep working hard and keep thinking about the kids and how much they need us to be there for them.

Focus on the positive! So you have a grumpy, cranky grade level. It could be worse! You could be at another school that shall remain anonymous but begins with the same letter as anonymous in which you have grumpy, cranky people at all grade levels, all the time. You have a great staff and one that is willing to work hard and go the extra mile for all the kids. Remember that when you get bogged down with all the little stuff.
Maybe this principal doesn't know how to focus on the positive. I'm beginning to think so.
I happen to think you are great and many people do not realize how lucky are school is to have someone like you. Try to stay positive and remember that you will never please everyone!
